Hey there, I’m Matt! I’ve been behind the chair making people smile since 2010. As a former educator, I love sharing my knowledge and passion for hair. I’m a certified hair colorist, and certified in Bellami extensions. I’m experienced in all hair types with a focus on healthy hair.

Born and raised in Germany Brian has 20 years of experience. Brian is passioned to find the right style for his guests. Specializes in cutting and color, hand-paint/balayage/ foil techniques.

Jenny moved to Austin from the Alamo City, San Antonio. She is an expert in all things color, from balayage to full corrective color. She loves shags, textured bobs, and razor cuts. She offers Bellami handed, K Tip, and Tape-in extensions.

She has a cat named Lucy, loves margaritas, and is an Aries.

Katie is from Albuquerque, New Mexico -- born and raised. With a lifelong love for everything beauty-related, she discovered her passion for hair. She enjoys helping people feel beautiful and confident. Katie began beauty school as soon as she could at age 17, and has been in salons ever since. She absolutely loves doing anything with color, from crazy fun fashion colors to blondes, or even simple maintenance. Of course, Katie enjoys finding the perfect cut to compliment color, as well! Outside of the salon, she loves hanging out with her three dogs, taking them on hikes and swims. And she loves a good lazy day in between it all!

Before milk + honey, Lauren was a color specialist in DC for two years. She loves all types of color services including color correction, highlights, balayage, fashion colors, and dimensional color, but she especially loves blondes and balayage. Lauren is an expert with all hair types.

Matt loves working on lived-in texture and color. You can count on him for stunning bright blondes and skillful extensions. Matt has three dogs: Maci, Cricket, and Broccolini. In his own words, he also has “way too many plants for one person”.

Born and raised in Austin Texas, Danielle has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2009. She specializes in lived in color, balayage, and blonding services. Danielle also enjoys long layered cuts, bobs, fades and is certified in keratin treatments. She has worked with several products lines over the years and is constantly perfecting her craft by taking classes to keep up with trends.

When Danielle is not behind the chair you can find her traveling and spending time with family and friends. Fun fact, Danielle’s first love was photography and now takes pictures of her work to showcase on social media.

Justyna dates her passion for styling back to age six (on Barbie dolls.) She joined CEH IZBA RZEMIESLNICZA Academy in Warsaw, Poland and graduated in 2002. Justyna then spent three years as a hair stylist in downtown Warsaw. In 2005, she opened her own salon and ran it successfully until she decided to move to the USA with her husband in 2017. She loves styling for special occasions, blowouts, and updos. While coloring and cutting, Justyna likes to mix techniques to create a style that feels unique and personal to each and every client. She spends her free time traveling the world, trying new food, and riding motorcycles with her husband. Justyna loves meeting new people and enjoys a styling challenge.

Jaymee attended the Aveda Institute in San Antonio and over the years, has continued to attend Aveda-lead training. She loves doing hair because she loves making people feel beautiful. "There is nothing like creating a new fresh look for your client and giving them a boost of confidence. I feel blessed to do what I do, I am able to let my creativeness flow as well as make people feel good. Life is so stressful — sometimes all we need is a visit to the salon," she says. As a stylist, Kacy Marie loves meeting new people and making her clients feel great about themselves. Since she was little, Kacy Marie has always been fascinated by the fashion, beauty, and hair industry and knew she wanted to be involved in it. In 2010, the Dallas/Fort Worth native moved to Austin to attend The Paul Mitchell School of Austin where she began to develop her skills as well as a keen eye for style. Kacy Marie is known for color, face-framing cuts, seamless updos, and is certified in Keratin and Hotheads extensions. Christina began her education at Paul Mitchell in her hometown, New Orleans. She then graduated from Carsten Institute of Cosmetology in Carsten Wilms in Tempe, Arizona. From there, Christina pursued an apprenticeship in New York City at Salon AKS with celebrity colorist, Kathleen Flynn-Hui. After her apprenticeship, she worked at Vidogi Salon in Scottsdale, where she specialized in balayage, vivid creative colors, color correction, bridal hair, and makeup. Color is Christina’s passion, and she loves to create looks that complement each client’s unique personality. In her free time, she loves to explore the Houston food scene. Christina has a fur baby named Lola (a French bulldog.) According to her, nothing beats a nice evening on the couch with her boyfriend and dog watching binging the latest series or show.

After graduation, she decided to pursue her passion for hair and immediately applied for the milk + honey apprentice program. Since completing her apprenticeship, Bee has developed her own personal style and aesthetic and is a master at blending her clients' vision with her own skillset to create beautiful, one of a kind looks. Bee loves dramatic transformations, including blonding, balayage, and long, layered cuts. She is also trained in all types of haircutting, a Hotheads extension expert, and certified in Keratin treatments. Darcy loves to work out and read in her spare time. Kelsie really enjoys doing lived-in blondes and precision hair cutting and considers it to be her specialty So if you need a cut or lived-in color tailored to your style specifically Kelsie is your girl. She enjoys working with her coworkers — it’s the best work environment she’s ever had and it’s like her second home. Kelsie is currently trying to get out of her comfort zone now being back in Houston and broaden her food pallet. She’s very habitual when it comes to food so this is definitely a fun journey.

Tara Peabody comes to milk + honey with 11 years of experience. Even before graduating from Ogle School of Hair, Skin, and Nails, Tara had a passion for hair. She grew up in her parent’s salons, learning from her mother, father, and aunts. Tara specializes in coloring techniques including balayage, ombre, and particularly getting rid of those unwanted grays. She’s an experienced stylist for updos and braids, and loves working with brides and for special events. Tara has a unique experience working with older and special needs clients. She has a caring heart and a gentle touch for anybody who loves getting a little TLC. When not working Tara enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, three grown children, and extended family.
