We know as a bride you are constantly communicating with multiple vendors, and it’s a huge relief to have one point of contact for your hair services. Our Bridal Coordinator will get to know you, your schedule, and exactly what you want out of your wedding day beauty. Event companies often say it is extremely difficult to confirm the timing of a bridal party’s hair. With our Bridal Coordinator, you won’t have to worry. Plus, your Bridal Coordinator will make every visit to milk + honey personal. We are experts in preparing brides, bridal parties, bachelorette parties, and even a mother or two.

The Months Before Your Big Day

Wedding prep starts early. Here are our recommendations for ensuring your photo-ready for all of the happenings leading up to the big event.

Engagement Photos + Bridal Shower

For your engagement photos milk + honey recommends a Blowout, which consists of a shampoo and style. This will give you some time with your stylist and time to connect with your stylist about your big day. For your bridal shower, we also recommend a Blowout to make sure your bridal shower will go a little smoother.

Hair Trials

Speaking of hair, the best way to feel comfortable and confident about the big day is to have a Hair Trial. This ensures that you have time for adjustments before the wedding. If you are requesting an updo it’s best to have a clear vision of what you want. Bring pictures, but keep your expectations reasonable. Many bridal magazines use hair extensions and special lighting to create these looks and they are often difficult to recreate in the real world. Hair trials are a must and don’t forget the veil, clips, and hairpieces. These are an integral part of your final look.

Prepping Your Skin

If you are planning on waxing or prepping your skin before your wedding, planning ahead is key. Make sure you know how your skin reacts to waxing and facials. We always suggest planning out a “wedding prep” schedule with your Esthetician. Perhaps a Back Treatment or Peel Treatment will help give you glowing skin.

The Month Of Your Big Day

Bachelorette Party

For your bachelorette party, milk + honey is the perfect partner. We’ve done everything from Blowouts before a night out, to group pedicures so you can show off your toes during a pool day. milk + honey also hosts bachelorette parties. Hair, Skin, and Lashes

If you’d like to cut or color your hair, we recommend working out a schedule with your stylist.

For that perfect glow, get a Signature Facial one week before your wedding, and do a light exfoliation on your big day. That way, your skin will be dewy, fresh and your makeup will go on nice and smooth. If you’d enjoy extra extractions with your facial, we recommend two weeks before your wedding day so your skin has the proper amount of time to fully respond to the treatment. Backless dress? Come in for a Back Treatment or yummy Peel Treatment to remove any dry skin. Remember, the skin on your face isn’t the only skin that needs to be taken care of.

Waxing on the face needs to happen at least five days prior to the big day — in case some redness occurs, your skin has plenty of time to calm down. What about Bikini or Brazilian waxes? We recommend at least 2-3 days before the wedding day.

Lash extensions are also a great trick to staying photo-ready at all times and will help accentuate your eyes during all of the wedding festivities.

The Week Before

Getting nervous? Take a deep breath and don’t worry. Even though the wedding is just days away, milk + honey is here when it matters most. Staying stress-free is incredibly important in the days leading up to your wedding. We suggest a massage or nail service this week. Brides have a lot on their minds and already have a jam-packed schedule leading up to the event.

Your Wedding Day

It’s here. Don’t forget to enjoy it.

Final Prep Checklist

You’ve already scheduled your final hair appointment. Just show up, and we’ll take care of the rest. Speaking of “rest,” this is YOUR day. For breakfast, have your usual and perhaps drink some green tea to balance out the excess adrenaline.

If you feel a little puffy from the rehearsal dinner the night before, consider facial rolling to help relieve puffiness, and don’t forget to hydrate! If your wedding is outdoors, apply sunscreen, you don’t want to damage your skin before the honeymoon.

The Days After

We haven’t forgotten about a very important part of the equation — the Groom! Don’t forget we offer a full range of spa treatments. We suggest spending the day following your wedding together with a Couples Retreat. It’s a great way to start the rest of your life.
